||2 of 3 people found the following review helpful.| Very necessary to understand today's world|By Rs Beck|We have all asked that if God is good why do such terrible things happen on Earth? In this book the author sets out to familiarize us with the dark side of God - one of the greatest paradoxes. Ash explains his understanding of this very controversial topic with frequent reference to the Old Testament, the Talmud, the Freemas

If there was no evil, could there be good? The general idea of God is that He is all powerful and absolutely good. In this book however, David Ash explores the duality of the Christian god and proposes that He is not only capable of good, but is capable of evil as well. Evil does however, serve a very important purpose according to Ash and in this book he dares us to hold back our judgement and consider a new way of perceiving God.
